Finally, we have a footballer with responsible lifestyle choices. Manchester United star Gary Neville is utilizing his hard-earned money to build an underground country home utilizing the latest eco technology that leaves minimal impact on the views of surroundings. Designed by Make Architects, the 8,000-sq-ft multi-million-pound luxury eco bunker, likened to a Neolithic settlement, would be built in the grounds of Gary Neville’s £8 million (RM 44.5 Million) estate in Lancashire.
The bunker shaped as a flower has petals radiating from a central kitchen, each designated as respective areas to “eat, relax, entertain, work and play.” The building will have solar panels, a ground source heat pump and a wind turbine. Energy produced from the wind turbine will power his neighboring property with extra energy being supplied to the national grid, helping to reduce his family’s carbon footprint. As the project awaits approval, the government already wants to use the scheme as a benchmark for all future zero-carbon developments. The blueprint makes a statement steady with Neville’s passion for the environment.Via : BornRich
