Yesterday NEC introduced a new camera chip optimized for use in new cell phones that will make their included cameras comparable to DSLR cameras on the market today. With the chip, the possibility of using your mobile phone to record HD video in 1080p, not to mention stills with a res of up to 13 MegaPixels could become a reality rather quickly.

Lake Las Vegas Ritz-Carlton Set To Close !

More bad news out of the Lake Las Vegas development. The resort area slowly implode since last June and now USA Today's Hotel Check-In says that the Ritz-Carlton Lake Las Vegas will shut down at the start of May putting around 400 people out of work. The 348-room resort is owned by Village Hospitality, an arm of Deutsche Bank which has decided to case funding the hotel.

Is the Nexus One A Failure ?

Early reports are rolling in, suggesting the HTC Nexus One is failing to set the world on fire, despite its high profile launch. Initial reports had suggested only 20,000 had been sold in the first week, and sales have remained at this low constant, clocking up only 80,000 sales in the first month, according to Flurry Analytics.

They’re back at it again. The iPhone dev-team has released an update to their popular jailbreaking software, PwnageTool, for Mac OS X. The new PwnageTool — version 3.1.5 — boasts the ability to properly jailbreak Apple’s recently released 3.1.3 iPhone/iPod Touch firmware.
