However, in the inspirational category it’s a rare prospect to see cellphones taking its inspiration form high-end watches, but it should come as no surprise to see these two industries crossing over at increasing frequency in the near future.Here’s a starter from a French company called Celsius X-VI-II that will unveil the Papillon, a $300,000 (RM 1.02 Million) mobile phone that cites high-end Swiss watches as an inspiration for this ultra-luxury, mechanical mobile phone. Equipped with the most advanced micro-mechanics of any gadget ever created, the phone is still intended to operate mechanically through human energy.
This handmade art masterpiece watch with more than 600 mechanical components takes its design inspiration from butterfly. Priced at $300,000 (RM 1.02 Million), the phone will be limted to just 50 units in two versions. To know more about the creation and to see the x-rayed photo come to life, Celsius X VI II plans to unveil the phone at the Basel World watch fair starting on March 18th. So, stay tuned !
