The RM 153K Anti-Terrorist Armored Electric Car Doubles As A Golf Cart !

With the Mumbai terror attacks, it was clear that the luxury establishments were the new targets and required new countermeasures. So in an effort to set the standards up a bit, India has built a Metaltech Anti-Terrorist Assault Cart to withstand grenade attacks, probably on the golf course.

The battery operated, $45,000 (RM 153,000) Anti-Terrorist Assault Cart (Atac) with firing ports resembles some bulletproof golf buggy. Weighing just under half a ton, the Atac has bulletproof windows and contains numerous firing ports; and is able to move effortlessly in corridors and lifts. The vehicle can last for six hours on a single charge - with a top speed of 25 km/h (What the ...).

It is still hard to say whether it would be of any help in assisting Indian armed personnel, but we were thinking what might follow next…room service with explosive detectors maybe.
