18th Century Inspired Luxurious Timepiece Strikes Back !

Before we knew the clocks as we know them today, they were masterpieces assembled together with weight as a motive force; and as we come across this two-meter-tall, dual-weighted clock with gold-plated cogs, it’s as if a three centuries old British clockmaking legend has been reborn.

Inspired by the creations of 18th century British clockmaker and geologist John Whitehurst, this luxurious timepiece worth RM 746,000 uses single source material to prevent inaccuracies due to parts expanding at different rates. It won’t come as a surprise that the timekeeper is so precise that it only loses or gains a second every month and is better than some of the quartz watches.
