While happier days are not quite here again for the aviation industry, but there seem some breaks in the clouds as a New Zealand-based specialist in private jet interior, Altitude earns its first contract to overhaul a luxury Boeing business jet. Altitude has comfortably join the league with the likes of LiveJet, who are working on the Dornier 328 32-seater to be converted into a 12-seat executive jet. While Altitude keeps the details of the private jet interiors a closely guarded secret, but for the sake of our nosy attitude, the contract includes installing all the electrical, plumbing and air conditioning systems, plus luxurious furniture and cabinetry, and state-of-the-art entertainment and communications equipment and not to mention that Boeing Business Jets usually feature lounge, dining and meeting areas, a double bedroom with en suite, and seating for up to 12.
The customization is said to cost around RM 116 Million, before the jet is complete and flown over to its unidentified Asian-based customer next year.
